The Best FREE Mobile Apps For Getting Organised
It’s hard to believe that we used to manage without mobile phones. I go into a blind panic if mine gets mislaid because so much of my life is on the darn thing!
Often the narrative around mobile phones is a negative one i.e. that we spend way too much time on social media (guilty as charged!) but we also take for granted that a mobile phone can be a really powerful tool for organisation, so why not put it to good use?
Check Out my Top 5 Apps for Organisation
1. Bitwarden – The password manager recommended by my IT hubby. Secure all your passwords in one place with end-to-end encryption. This app has been a game changer because yes, I was that person who had the same password for everything! The password generator function is really useful and I like that it can also be used on a desktop with a browser extension.
2. Stashcook – Allows you to save any recipe you find online, change serving sizes, add the ingredients to your shopping list, meal plan and organise your recipes into collections. What I love is that a ‘stashed’ recipe is automatically converted from the online version (which can be full of annoying ads) and into an easy-to-read layout.
3. Stocard – A simple app that lets you store all your loyalty cards in one place. No more bulging purse and scrambling for the right card at the check-out. Just open the app, scan, or type in the barcode of your card and you’re good to go.
4. Google Calendar – Powerful as a standalone calendar but with the added functionality that you can create and share a family calendar, so that you have everyone’s schedules at your fingertips. You can also sync with other calendars such as Outlook, so that nothing falls through the cracks.
5. Doodle – Fed-up with the back and forth of arranging a group meet-up? This app lets you propose potential dates and times, invite a group of people, and get notified once the best time for everyone is found.
